Toyota 4Runner is the first model in the huge Toyota family, if you're going alphabetically. It is not the first in terms of luxury or price. It is solid, rugged, safe and durable. It use a truck-based platform, meaning they are the more sturdy and adventure-ready of the two. It is designed with practicality and versatility in mind. All models have a trailer hitch, skid plates, a full-size spare tire, 265/70R16 tires and alloy wheels and fog lights. It offers excellent on-road driving characteristics, ample room for five adults--seven in a pinch, generous cargo capacity, and attractive pricing. While other SUVs are becoming more and more like cars, the 4Runner is the real deal. It's loaded with the latest off-road electronic technology, including Hill Start Assist and Downhill Assist Control. True to its truck roots, however, the 4Runner is built on a rugged ladder frame with a solid rear axle.
2004 Toyota 4Runner is one of two sport utility vehicles in the midsize segment. It is offered in three models: SR5, Sport and Limited. It is pretty spacious on the inside. Standard seating is for five. This year, Toyota offers a newly optional third-row seat. It comes with an available rear-seat audio system. There are two engines offered this year. The entry-level configuration consists of a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 245 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 283 lb-ft of torque at 3400 rpm. Moving up on the power scale brings you to a 4.7-liter V8 engine. It cranks out an impressive 235 horsepower at 4800 rpm and 320 lb-ft of torque at 3400 rpm. Both engines are available with rear-wheel drive. V6s offer a 4WD system that can be left engaged on dry pavement, while V8s offer all-wheel drive. Both systems include low-range gearing.

2004 Honda Element is expected to attain the highest rank for front and side impact protection in upcoming crash tests. It features such as dual-stage front airbags and 3-point seat belts. Once you close the reinforced side cargo doors, vertical beams add to the reinforced frame. The front seats have acres of headroom and there's no center tunnel between the front seats to get in the way. The rear seats are roomy as well. They are raised off the floor a couple of inches higher than the front seats so that rear seat passengers can look over the front seats for better visibility. One of the most talked-about features on the Element is its pillarless rear-hinged doors. With no B-pillars to get in the way, there's easy access to the rear. The floor is covered in a urethane-coated material that resists water, dirt and scratches, and is easily cleaned. The front seats are coated in a waterproof material designed for easy cleaning as well. It has caused a storm of excitement and enthusiasm.
