The 2003 Honda Civic reputed for low emissions and high fuel economy along with comfortable and exciting ride. For 2003 Honda comes with a number of new product enhancements on the sedan and coupe to make it even more desirable. The available models are: Civic coupe and sedan in four trim levels respectively. The sedan starts with the well-equipped DX, then the LX comes with more added features followed by the natural gas powered GX and the sporty EX. The exteriors as well as the news years are refurbished with new wheel cover designs on DX/LX sedan and coupe and EX sedan. And two new exterior colors: Galapagos Green and Shoreline Mist. A fresh new design on rear combination tail lamps for the sedan is available. 14-inch aluminum wheels are available on the DX, HX and LX coupe. All coupes come with green tinted glass.

Civics comes with manual or automatic transmission. The automatic is used in the HX and Hybrid is a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front side airbags are standard for the Hybrid, optional for other. ABS is standard for EXs, the Hybrid, and Si. The Si has its own hatchback body, mandatory manual transmission, sport suspension, and standard sunroof; for '04, 16-inch wheels replace 15s. Also, LX models get standard keyless entry and 15-inch wheels to replace 14s, EX models get standard alloy wheels, and the Hybrid joins the LX and EX as the only models with a height-adjustable driver seat.
