2004 Dodge Neons is a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine. It provides a modest 132 horsepower and an additional 130 lb-ft of torque. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission are both available. The midlevel R/T model uses an engine of the same dimensions, but it gives the front-wheel drive Neon 150 horsepower and 135 lb-ft of torque. It is only offered with 5-speed manual transmission. SRT-4 also features a new torque-sensing limited-slip differential as standard equipment.
