The sleek, eye-catching design of the Dodge Intrepid has always set the full-size sedan apart on the road. Though it has cousins Chrysler 300M and Concorde that share a similar look, it is nonetheless unique in its own way. But this design is not merely for aesthetic purposes. It's stiff body and aerodynamic shape diminishes drag and allows Intrepid to cut through the wind quietly and efficiently. Manufacturers hope to capitalize on its customer loyalty and a quick start out of the gates to achieve nice sales figures. See the new Intrepid wheels prices. It is known for its steady power, easy handling and low price tag. It has its own style, taken to varying extremes with its three-model lineup. It boasts an aggressive, integrated bumper/grille borrowed from the racy Dodge Viper; and sleek, wrap-around cats-eye headlight lenses that flow into the sweeping hood line.
The 2004 Dodge Intrepid returns with little changes from last years model. The model line-up consists of three trims: SE, SXT, and ES. The SXT models are equipped with a 244 horsepower High Output 3.5L V-6 engine. All trimlines come standard with a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The ES and SXT models come standard with the illuminated keyless remote control entry system, split folding rear seat and speed control. All models come standard with manual air conditioning, automatic power door locks, dual front air bag restraint system, dual power mirrors and dual visor vanity mirrors. An optional Cold Weather group and ABS braking system is available on all models and includes traction control on the ES. Its closest competitors include the Buick Century, the Mazda Mazda6, and the Volkswagen Passat.
