The 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier is offered in a two-door coupe body and a four-door sedan body in three models. There is a base model, an LS model and an LS Sport model, whose aim is nothing less than high performance satisfaction.

The new Chevrolet Cavalier achieves a previously unseen level of safety by offering a center rear three-point seat belt and optional front driver and passenger seat-mounted torso airbags with thorax protection. Each of the three 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier models (base, LS and LS Sport) receive the same engine. It is a 2.2-liter, Ecotec 4-cylinder model with 140 horsepower at 5600 rpm and 150 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. This engine is mated to either standard 5-speed manual transmission or optional 4-speed automatic. An FE2 sport suspension system, on both LS models, provides excellent handling and road feel. It creates flatter, more precise cornering, more driver feedback, and better communication between car and driver. It also features front and rear sway bars, which provide a more rigid ride.
