The Chevrolet Aveo is an all-new subcompact available as a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback. It's based on a globally popular model called the Kalos built by Korean carmaker Daewoo. It uses a proven GM 1.6-liter double-overhead-camshaft engine and comes standard with a five-speed gearbox. It's out to challenge the Toyota Echo, Scion xA, Kia Rio, and Hyundai Accent. It looks good, particularly the sedan, and the body panels fit well. It delivers zippy performance, sharp steering and a decent ride. All of this makes it an attractive alternative to a used car. Its front seats are comfortable and the back seats are surprisingly roomy. It is designed in Italy yet built in Korea.
2004 Chevrolet Aveo is an eye-opening price tag that is sure to attract buyers looking for an affordable, versatile car that will do more than just go from Point A to Point B. It offers good gas mileage and guarantees durability-two other features that will no doubt contribute to its appeal. It will be available as a sedan or sporty five-door in base or LS trims. Its seats are four comfortably, five in a pinch. 60/40 fold-down rear seatback in sedan and hatchback. Tall car stance offers easy entry, roomy interior. The interiors are better than you'd expect. The seat cushions and backs of the new Chevrolet Aveo are constructed of high-density foam to ensure solid comfort and support. It has clean lines and short front and rear overhangs, distinctive aerodynamic halogen headlamps with facetted lenses, amber side turn signal lamps and jewel-like tail lamps for a unique appearance.
